I am Keelin Godsey an out FTM elite athlete. I compete in the hammer throw. I competed on the US national team for the Pan-american games, and narrowly missed making the Olympic team. Up till now I have competed as a woman and was pre-everything. I am now currently taking Testosterone, started 8/7/12, and am navigating the world of sports specifically track and field as a transitioning athlete. I will be trying to make it as a male hammer thrower.

Competition
I am competing tomorrow at BU. Getting Psyched to throw far.
Nice, hitting 19.45 twice! Seems like a great start, and you are still in the sport. You didn't do Indoor Nationals, Amy did, but I hope you continue into outdoors.
I didn't do nationals because I couldn't afford to go. I am still very much in the the sport. I don't focus on the weight I am primarily focusing in the hammer.
GREAT that you are still in the sport! Corbyn, you still have something to "give", something to "test", something to strive for, so I encourage you to keep practicing and competing!
wow wow wow. I am not sure if I can post any "details", since for this Blog you are referring to yourself as "Corbyn", but it just occurred to me to look up the results from Eugene on June 25th, and WOW. I actually happened on the news when I went to T & F NEWS and read a posting on the As and Bs. Amber seemed to have had a lousy series; you were ahead of her, (you were ahead of EVERYBODY on your first throw!!!) then she threw a decent throw for her on her last one. Britney, who I thought was throwing over 70 last year, has nosedived this year. Loree Smith, she is also fading.
YOU, CORBYN, ARE ROCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to Sacramento CA World Masters Championships, but I am throwing very poorly, my technique is so bad, I am slow, inconsistent....KEEP THROWING, CORBYN!!!!
usatfne.org lists possibilities....I know the organizer of Twilight Throwers in Chelmsford, a Masters athlete, nice guy, his meets are very low-key but could provide certification of mark if you hit 69m+. The "Empire State" listing under the Maine Championships on June 17 (Empire meet is actually on the 16th, no date was listed) is no good for HT, because of high school discus mesh net. Hammerama in Rhode Island is of course a great meet. Club Nationals at Icahn Stadium in NYC is okay, IAAF facility, but I don't think you are a member of a club....interestingly, the Association governing the meet, Metropolitan, is going to be deactiviated by USATF in August because of administrative failings. GOOD LUCK and keep throwing!!!
